Kevin has spent most of his life on the orchard only leaving briefly in the 1980’s to complete a science degree at Otago University and then a couple of years travelling in the UK and Europe. The economy of the 1980’s took it’s toll on the orchard and Kevin returned home to work with his father Peter “PG” and brother Musso where they restructured the operation and went on to grow and diversify the business.
Kevin is very active within the NZ horticulture industry. He is presently an exporter representative on the NZ Summerfruit Committee and spent six years as a grower representative in the 90’s. He also spent several years as a director of Seasonal Solutions which is a grower co-operative that manages large numbers of RSE workers from the Pacific.
When time allows Kevin can usually be found skiing, mountain biking, playing golf or enjoying many of the other outdoor activities that those lucky enough to live in Central Otago have around them.
